Support of Nature

When Maharishi spoke of “Nature” and Natural Law,” he meant the whole of the ever-changing, created world. This world and everything in it, all its causes and effects, is based and has its source in the unchanging, infinite Absolute. To master the Laws of Nature, one must first transcend and immerse oneself in that infinite Field of all Possibilities. Maharishi himself explained it this way, “A person has the thought, ‘I would like an apple’ and he goes to the market and buys one. But a person who has been practicing the TM Technique for some time has the thought ‘I would like an apple’ and a few moments later the doorbell rings and his friend appears. ‘I just picked some apples from my tree and I thought you would like one.’ This is the Support of Nature. So it would not require a great stretch of the imagination to have a person firmly established in the Field of All Possibilities have the thought, ‘I would like an apple’ and an apple appears at his elbow.” Maharishi never spoke about the level of consciousness he had attained in this life. But these stories show a man with the deepest knowledge and control of all the Laws of Nature.

When Brahman Was the Charioteer

I was working in finances during the renovation phase of Maharishi College of Natural Law in Washington D.C., a phase I thought would never end until one evening I got a message to come up to a private room where a phone call was waiting…(I want to pause here and back up 1 week before this call).

It was a time where I had absolutely no money to purchase anything I needed for myself. A week before, I received a call out of the blue from a relative of mine and during the conversation he offered his credit card to buy something for myself.  So, I went to a clothing store and decided to buy a suit; it was late fall and winter was coming but for some unknown reason I bought a tropical cotton suit.  A day later there was an envelope posted on a bulletin board with my name on it, and there was a $100 bill inside with no note or indication of who posted it. Now I could have used that $100 for many personal things but my immediate thought was to renew my passport for 10 years which would cost exactly $100 including photos.

Now, as I walked into the room, I was told to close the door behind me, and on the phone was Maharishi asking me and 3 others if we would like to spend time in a warm climate and take a vacation. The vacation turned out to be a project in Taiwan (ROC) to teach TM in schools.  And, while there, arrange to meet with 4 Taiwan military generals to whom Maharishi had taught the TM-Sidhi program and to fly with them. And,  be ready to leave tomorrow morning – airline tickets will be waiting for you.

I got my first taste of moving within Maharishi’s intention where Brahman was the charioteer of action.; it was innocent, I did not question, my actions simply supported Maharishi’s thought at that time.
